Questions about how UNPRINT works, pricing, delivery, security, and more.

Getting Started

What is UNPRINT?

UNPRINT is a print-on-demand service that eliminates the need for owning a printer. Upload your documents, configure print settings, and we'll have them printed at a local provider and delivered to your door—whether by courier for same-day delivery or by mail for next-day service.

Think of it like ordering food delivery, but for printing. No more broken printers, empty ink cartridges, or driver issues.

How does it work?
  1. Upload: Select one or more PDF files from your device.
  2. Configure: Set print options for each document (copies, color mode, paper size, finishing options).
  3. Preview: See the total cost and delivery options before placing your order.
  4. Print: Our system automatically routes your job to the best local provider.
  5. Deliver: Receive your printed documents via courier or mail.
Do I need to sign up?

Yes, you'll need to create an account to place orders. This allows us to track your jobs, provide delivery updates, and securely store your order history. Signing up is free and takes just a minute.

Files & Print Settings

What file formats do you support?

We currently support PDF files only. This ensures reliable printing across all providers and consistent results. If you have a document in another format (Word, Pages, etc.), please convert it to PDF first.

Can I print multiple documents in one order?

Yes! You can upload multiple PDF files in a single order. Each document can have its own print settings:

  • Number of copies
  • Color mode (black & white or color)
  • Paper size (A4, A3, A2, A1, A0, Letter, Legal)
  • Single-sided or double-sided (duplex)
  • Finishing options (stapling, binding, lamination)
  • Paper type (standard, premium, cardstock, etc.)
What paper sizes are available?

We support standard paper sizes including:

  • A4 (210 × 297 mm) — Most common
  • A3 (297 × 420 mm)
  • A2 (420 × 594 mm)
  • A1 (594 × 841 mm)
  • A0 (841 × 1189 mm)
  • Letter (8.5 × 11 inches)
  • Legal (8.5 × 14 inches)

Availability may vary by region. The order preview will show you what's available in your area.

Can I print in color?

Yes! You can choose between black & white or color printing for each document. Color printing costs more per page but is available for all standard paper sizes.

What finishing options are available?

We offer several finishing options:

  • Stapling: Corner or edge stapling for multi-page documents
  • Binding: Spiral or perfect binding for booklets
  • Lamination: Protective lamination for important documents

Availability depends on your local provider's capabilities. The order preview will show available options.

Pricing & Subscriptions

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on your subscription tier:

STANDARD (Free)

  • • Black & white: ~€1.00 per page
  • • Color: ~€2.00 per page
  • • Service fee: ~€2.50 per order

PREMIUM (€19.99/month)

  • • Black & white: ~€0.50 per page (50% discount)
  • • Color: ~€1.00 per page (50% discount)
  • • Service fee: Waived
  • • 2 free courier deliveries per month
  • • Priority routing for faster fulfillment

Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and method (courier or mail). You'll see the total cost before placing your order.

Is there a minimum order value?

Currently, there's no minimum order value. However, very small orders (under €5) may not be economically viable for providers. If your order is too small, you'll see a warning in the preview, and we may suggest adding more copies or documents.

When do I get charged?

You're charged when you place your order. The total amount includes printing, finishing, service fees, and delivery. If your order needs to be split across multiple providers or shipments, you'll see this in the preview and be charged accordingly.

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel orders that haven't been accepted by a provider yet. Once a provider accepts your job, cancellation may not be possible, or you may be charged a cancellation fee. Check your order status in the dashboard for cancellation options.

Delivery

What delivery options are available?

We offer three delivery methods:

  • Courier: Same-day or next-day delivery by courier (faster, more expensive)
  • Mail: Standard postal delivery (next-day or 2-3 business days, more affordable)
  • Pickup: Pick up your order from the provider's location (no delivery fee)

If courier service isn't available in your area, we'll automatically fall back to mail delivery. You'll see this in the order preview.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery time depends on your chosen method:

  • Courier: Same-day (if ordered early) or next-day delivery
  • Mail: 1-3 business days depending on your location
  • Pickup: Usually ready within a few hours

Rush/urgent orders are prioritized and may arrive faster. You'll see estimated delivery times in the order preview.

Can my order be split into multiple shipments?

Yes. If your order contains multiple documents and no single provider can fulfill everything, we may split it across multiple providers and shipments. You'll see this in the order preview—for example, "This order will arrive as two separate shipments: half today, half tomorrow." This ensures your order is never rejected due to provider limitations.

Where can I track my order?

You can track your order in your dashboard. You'll receive email and SMS updates at key stages: when your job is routed to a provider, when printing starts, when it's ready for pickup or out for delivery, and when it's delivered.

Security & Privacy

How secure are my documents?

Security is a top priority. We use:

  • Client-side encryption: Files are encrypted before upload using AES-256-GCM
  • Secure storage: Encrypted files are stored in secure cloud storage
  • Access control: Only authorized providers can decrypt and print your documents
  • Automatic deletion: Files are automatically deleted after delivery confirmation
Who can see my documents?

Only the provider assigned to print your job can decrypt and access your documents. Our platform staff cannot view your files. All access is logged for audit purposes, and files are automatically deleted after delivery.

How long are my files stored?

Files are automatically deleted after delivery confirmation. For enterprise accounts, you can configure custom retention policies. We don't keep your documents longer than necessary.

Troubleshooting

My order preview shows warnings. What does that mean?

Warnings in the preview indicate potential issues that won't prevent your order from being placed, but you should be aware of:

  • Split shipments: Your order will arrive in multiple packages
  • Delivery fallback: Courier unavailable, using mail instead
  • Low order value: Order is very small (may affect provider acceptance)

These are informational—your order will still be processed. If there's a critical issue that would prevent fulfillment, you'll see an error instead.

What if no provider can fulfill my order?

If no provider in your area can fulfill your order (e.g., you need a very large paper size or specialty paper that's not available), you'll see this in the preview before placing the order. We'll suggest alternatives or let you know when that capability becomes available in your region.

What if my printed documents have issues?

If there's a quality issue with your printed documents, contact support through your dashboard. We'll work with the provider to resolve the issue, which may include a reprint or refund depending on the situation.

Providers & Partnerships

How do you choose which provider prints my job?

Our marketplace algorithm automatically selects the best provider based on:

  • Capability match (can they print what you need?)
  • Distance to delivery address
  • Current capacity and availability
  • Provider reliability and ratings
  • Pricing competitiveness

Premium subscribers get priority routing for faster fulfillment.

I run a print shop. Can I become a provider?

Yes! We're always looking for quality print providers to join our network. Providers receive a fixed percentage of each job they fulfill, and you'll get a steady stream of pre-paid jobs without handling marketing or payments. Visit our providers page or contact us to learn more about onboarding.
